My inspiration is of Arlene Blum- her book “My Climbing Life” has been a huge inspiration to me!
She is a regular person, with a regular job, who has done amazing things for female mountaineers! First all women’s ascent of Denali, etc. she is amazing.

As a fellow outdoor educator (but not nearly as rogue as Lynx!) I feel very drawn to fellow female leaders who are changing their lifestyles in order to not only raise awareness but to teach skills that have somehow fallen through the cracks in our power-hungry economy. While I do not desire living alone in the backwoods for a duration exceeding a weekend, I respect Lynx in her decision to return to an eons-old cohabitation of human:wilderness interaction.
